Each year, 100s gather high atop Peel Chestnut Mountain at the Synan Homeplace for the Peel Chestnut Mountain July 4th Celebration.

They come to celebrate the Nation’s birthday of course, but it is also a time to celebrate our Veterans and all of their contributions both large and small.

Folks come from all over for the music, games, hayrides, good food, and of course, the fireworks. But then again, some might just come for those world-famous fried bologna sandwiches.

Whatever the reason they come, come they do. By the hundreds. To enjoy the friendship and fellowship of the Peel Chestnut Mountain July 4th Celebration.
